David Temkin, President

Dave Temkin’s role at NYNOG is informed with a history of leadership in the network operator world; he assembled and led the team that built the world's largest Content Delivery Network for Netflix and its global studio technical infrastructure including systems and storage. He also held leadership roles with Yahoo, NANOG, and Children of Bellevue. Currently, Temkin leads infrastructure and cloud initiatives at security firm, Imperva, and he holds advisory and leadership roles with DRIVENETS, Community IX, and Catchpoint.

 

Sagi Brody, Secretary

Sagi Brody is the Chief Technology Officer of Opti9, responsible for all technical infrastructure, design, and operations. Under his leadership, the company has evolved from a web host into one of the top 100 high-touch, agile Cloud and fully managed infrastructure service providers in the world. Throughout his tenure, Mr. Brody has been involved in all aspects of the hosting and data center industry. His expertise spans cloud computing, network design and build, site surveys and selection, data center build-out and upgrades, server automation, green data center technologies, resource management, staffing, and budget planning.

Jacob Rosenberg, Treasurer

Jacob recently held the position of Head of Infrastructure Engineering at Bloomberg LP, the global financial information and news company. His group was responsible for all aspects of the production infrastructure behind Bloomberg’s customer products and services including systems, storage, networks, cloud, and automation. His previous roles included leadership of infrastructure, SRE, and architecture at companies including Two Sigma, Comcast and AOL.

Neal Secher, Director

Neal Secher is a Senior Vice President and Head of Networks and Data Center Modernization at State Street Corporation. He has spent his career working at leading firms within the Financial Services industry in both technical and leadership roles. Neal has extensive experience with designing, building, and operating infrastructure for cloud architectures, large-scale data centers, latency-optimized network fabrics, software defined networks, secure business-to-business and Internet perimeters, and advanced instrumentation tool-sets.

Neal is a member of the board of directors at the Open Networking User Group (ONUG) and the New York Network Operators Group (NYNOG). Additionally, Neal sits on multiple vendor technical advisory boards and is a frequent speaker at industry events. He holds a BA from New York University.

Prior to joining State Street, Neal served as Managing Director and Head of Infrastructure Architecture at BNY Mellon. He has also past roles as the Executive Director and Head of Network Architecture at Morgan Stanley and Senior Vice President and Head of Network Architecture and Engineering for the Systematic Trading Infrastructure group at Citi.

Anthony Miloslavsky, Director

Anthony Miloslavsky has spent the last 20 years in the technology industry focusing on various aspects of network engineering and architecture. After building networks in the financial services space for almost a decade, his recent focus has been on all things observability and automation. He is currently working on network architecture and automation for NVIDIA.

 

 

Josh Sakofsky, Director

Currently, Josh is a Senior Network Engineer at Netflix. Josh has also held senior engineering roles with New York University, Mediaocean, SHI, and Datek Systems.

 

Orly Hoff, Director

Orly Hoff is a Sr. Account Executive at Gartner, responsible for collaborating with clients to ensure successful outcomes with initiatives across the technology sector. Prior to Gartner, Orly worked at Myriad360, a technology consultancy and integrator specializing in the service provider space. Throughout her tenure, she has supported teams by developing customized roadmaps, providing strategic direction, and ensuring successful implementations. Initiatives Orly has supported include areas such as cloud, security, data center architecture, and networking. Helping teams scale, automate and keep up with the pace of innovation is extremely rewarding for Orly. She truly believes in bringing technical solutions to business challenges and is driven by problem solving.

 

 

Andrew Baird, Director

Andrew is VP Marketing at TierPoint, where he works with a team of marketing professionals who specialize in digital, product, content, partner, event and field marketing.

Before joining TierPoint, Andrew worked at Audible, an Amazon company, and led the marketing launch of Audible for Business, the company’s first business-to-business product. Previously, he held marketing and product leadership roles at Digital Realty, Telx, and Arbinet. Andrew’s education is rooted in understanding the behavior of customers and users; he has a certificate in UX design from General Assembly and a B.S. in Marketing from Rutgers University.

 

Jessica Smith, Director

Jessica runs Global Events at Digital Realty and also heads up the Women’s Tech Forum (WTF) Events Committee. Born and raised in Australia, Jess began her studies in hospitality, becoming a trained chef and then later earning her MBA when she started work with technology marketing. Jess relocated to New York City to embark upon a career connecting a global, diverse audience via non-traditional, engaging and dazzling events.

Jessica is a strong advocate for building a safe space for women in our industry to learn and share ideas from each other, and she is excited to bring her black belt in technology hospitality to use for the entire NYNOG community.
